Community Day & Official Re-opening of Refurbished Town Hall

Hunstanton Town Council will be holding a Community Day on the 1st September 2021 between 2 pm – 7 pm in the Town Hall on the Green.

The venue has been closed since the beginning of the Covid pandemic and this time has been used to undertake major repairs and refurbishment. These works are now nearing completion and The Mayor of Hunstanton Cllr Adrian Winnington will be officially re-opening the Town Hall at 4 pm.

Cllr Winnington stated "The covid pandemic has affected everyone in some way. Self-isolation and social distancing have meant that many of our residents are now needing help, seeking friendship or may simply want to take up new hobbies. Hunstanton Town Council has been quick to recognise the collective strength of working together. The idea of holding a Community Day is to provide an opportunity for key organisations, groups, individuals & charities in Hunstanton and surrounding areas to offer their assistance, advice and support to our residents, and to showcase what is available in our community ".

Over 35 representatives will be in attendance during the afternoon including members from 'Lily', Community Action Norfolk, SJP Solicitors, U3A, Emergency Services, The Chances Project (NCC), HTC Community Fridge, HTC Friendship Group, Community Choir, Benjamin Foundation to name just a few.

Refreshments will be available, proceeds to the Mayor's Charity (Local Youth Groups).
