Cllr Adrian Winnington
Before moving to Hunstanton at the beginning of 2008 my wife and I lived in Warwick. I taught for many years in Warwickshire and the West Midlands. When I retired from my role as deputy head teacher we decided to come and live in Hunstanton, a town and area with many pleasant memories from family holidays with our children. In Warwick I was secretary of a large amateur football club and was an active qualified football referee for ten years. Since arriving in Hunstanton I have renewed my long-time interest in wildlife and conservation. I volunteer each week at Holme Dunes nature reserve and am also the local walks organiser for the Norfolk Wildlife Trust. I am currently chairman and biodiversity officer for Henry Le Strange Community Orchard. I also volunteer at the Coastal Stroke Group and in the Hunstanton RSPCA shop. A lot of the rest of my time is now filled with my work as a town councillor. I was first elected to the council in 2014 and had the honour of being Mayor and Chairman of the Council in 2017/18.
